From a friend who loves the Lord.
You know as I was sitting here cutting tracts tonight, and thinking of tomorrow, the Lord brought to my remembrance His earthly ministry and that of his disciples. Far too often we as Christians get off into the weeds so to speak instead of actually doing the Lord will. God is not willing that any should perish (2 Pet 3:9). The Lord Jesus came to this world for one reason and one reason only, to seek and to save that which was lost. Far too often, we as Christians, in the course of our daily lives, loose sight of this. We get off defending a bible that God himself said he would preserve (Psa 12:7). Countless hours and time by great men and women are wasted off in the weeds on things we ought not be. You never saw Jesus defending the Scriptures to anybody. He wasn’t giving discourses on the validity and inerrancy of the word, but rather He spent His time seeking out the lost sheep and seeing men born into the family of God. The servant is not greater than the Master. We ought always to have the souls of men on our minds. John 1027 My sheep hear my voice He said, and Joh 8:47 He that is of God heareth God’s words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God.
Another thing I noticed about the Lord is that no where did you find the Lord Jesus trying to revive the dying Jewish religion (denomination). On the contrary, Jesus came to make a way for sinners to be reconciled unto God, whether they were Jew or Gentile, bond or free, there was no difference. He was always abounding in the work of the father as we should likewise always be abounding in the work of the Lord. Paul told timothy to do the work of an evangelist, and so must every one of us. An evangelist does not waste his and the Lords precious time on pointless causes that are clearly by scripture not the will of God for anybody. Evangelist spread the word of God and that word is clearly the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Jesus never went into the synagogues, and said this place is too emergent or you don’t have the right copy of the scriptures, or were are on our way to one world government, or anything else. He was out preaching repent and believe the gospel (Mark 1:15). The truth is that if we only spent half the time out preaching the word and spreading the gospel and witnessing for Christ as we do frivolously wasting our time on our own selfish en devours, you never know, we might just see revival, or at the very least some dear one born into the family of God that might not have otherwise.
May the Lord richly bless you and yours and in the words of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ – Lu 9:60 Jesus said unto him, Let the dead bury their dead: but go thou and preach the kingdom of God
Thank you Mike, because I for one need to hear that our mandate from the LORD is to spread the Gospel to the lost and dying. Jesus said he came to seek and to save that which was lost.

This brief hypothetical interview with the apostle Paul
will cause you to study the scriptures noted and come to a fuller
understanding of God’s plan of salvation and the “church which is Christ’s body”.
Paul, we hear the word “saved” used often. What does this word mean when applied to the church?
To begin with, all of us were born sinners, dead in trespasses and sins. We were alienated from God, out of fellowship or communion with him and needed to be reconciled to him. *23 God of course, recognized this and when we were without hope sent his only begotten Son to die for us. *24 Because of the Lord Jesus Christ, we can be restored to fellowship with God by unearned favor (grace) through faith. *25 Grace is something good we receive which we didn’t earn or we don’t deserve. Salvation is not something one can work for. If it was, we would have something to boast about. Some people think grace and works are a team that together bring salvation to a person. This was a misconception that was prevalent in my day. Many, like myself had our roots in the Mosaic Law. But works and grace don’t go together to get salvation or to keep salvation. Works are a product of salvation. Salvation is received by calling on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. That is the way I was saved. *26 The moment one believes with his heart and calls on the name of the Lord, many things happen: crucified, buried, risen with Christ, sealed unto the day of redemption, baptized into the church, seated in heavenly places, and old things pass away, all things become new. All this is done through the faith of the operation of God. *27
Thank GOD he gave me eyes to see and ears to hear!
